1: EXPENDITURE Expenditure in this account nows an increase of no less than $15,000.00 due chiefly to the extra
maintenance Expenditure on Fanling, improvements on the Old Course and repairs made necessary by damage caused by the typhoon. The opening of, the year found the alterations to the Club houses hearly completed. Several small changes were subsequently made in the Ladies' Club house and in the Men's the bar was shifted once again Electric heaters were installed in both Olub houses. both The increased comfort in bulidings seems to be appreciated. Considerable expertise was incurred during the year in replenishing. Our stock of crockery, cutlery. jinen, etc. A new Fordson Trac- for was purchased also a spiking machine, both

been carried out in the Old Course and our thanks are due to Mr. Lissaman sa Convener and the Greens Committee as a whole for their admirable work. Mr. Lissa- man put in a tremendous amount of time and work on these im- provements and I can only trust that he will have the opportunity and be willing to carry on the good work on the New Course during the coming year.
I should not like to pass this subject without paying a tribute to Mr. Hitchins for the efficient with manner and the rapidity which the work was carried out. It reflects great credit to him that play was in, no way inconvenienced and at the same the the Courses were kept in excellent condition, I can safely say that never have our Courses at Fanling been in better condition than they are now.
Our reciprocal arrangements with the Tungshan Recreation Club had to be terminated owing to that Club being wound up.
The Coronation Cup produced a very large number of entries and
resulted in a substantial sum being
forwarded to the Children's Play- grounds Association; in addition members Individual
subscribed generously to this worthy cause.
The co-operation of the Com- mittee of the Ladies' Section has CAR PARK ENLARGED been much appreciated and their The car park at the Ladies' Club suggestions, always warmly wel- house has been considerably in-comed, have done much for the comfort of these uslag the Ladies' creased; the one near the Men's

'SATISFACTORY POSITION
In seconding the proposal for the adoption of the report and ac- counts, Mr. H. R. B. Hancock re- viewed parts of the Club's affairs during the year and commented that all in all things were satis- factors. He thanked the Secre- tary for the work he had done on behalf of the Club, Members did not always see eye to eye with him but there was no doubt he had worked hard for the Club. The accounts were adopted unanimous-
