NEW MINESWEEPER H.M.S. Hazard is due for com- pletion to-day at the works of Wm. Gray and Co., Limited. West Hartlepool, and after her accep tance trial will proceed to Ports- mouth to prepare for service in the 1st Minesweeping Flotilla, The Hazard is the ninth ship of the Halcyon class of minesweepers, and a tenth of the same type, the Sharpshooter, will be commission- ed at Devonport next month.
Lieut.-Comdr. D. B..Wyburd, will command the Hazard.
TACTICAL SCHOOL STAFF Comdr. C. W. Q. M. Woodhouse, who was promoted in June last after two years as gunnery officer of the battleship Barham, has been. appointed to the staff of the Tac- tical School at Portsmouth in suc- cession to Commander O, H. WORTHY MONUMENT
"Mr. Fung died a 1931, before the foundation stone of this build- ing was lald, and his magnificent gift to the cause of education, $300,000, came to the Committee through the hands of his sona. To-day I feel that we can fairly claim that this building, and all it implies, is a worthy monument to a great-hearted gentleman who, if anyone, deserves to be written as one who loved his fellow men."
