I have the honor to submit for
information of the Honorable the Lieutenant Governor the accompanying
Return of Land Leases sold at Public
Auction on the 28th and
producing
an
aggregate Annual Rental of £429. 19 and Premium £5050.
I attribute the absence of competition
at these sales chiefly to the fact of there
being
no settlers in the locality of the
Lots sold; but when these Lots are
occupied I have no doubt there will
