URBAN COUNCIL MEETING
-
The dress rehearsal for Miks Violet Capell's annual dancing dis- play went off without a hitch yesterday morning at the King's Theatre. All the nineteen items on the programme were gone through In excellent and efficient manner, and the whole gives premise of a fine show on Wednesday.
The older girls, who include Misses Violet Spradbury, Stella and Helen Ho, Mona Shand. Florence McKelvie and others, show remark- able evidence of Miss Capell's thorough training in all their steps and movements, but it is perhaps in the way in which the very young ones
through their go cances on the stage that the teacher is deserving of high com- pliment. Many novel dances are being presented, and the costumes ara also sometimes very strikingly original.
