The year's increase in profits was due largely to the Coronation. The Funfurnished flats at Grosvenor House were proving attractive, as they were unique, being a bination of a first-class fat with a first-class hotel. It was the only building in London providing such services for unfurnished flats. Until international relations improved it was best to look to the future in a spirit of optimism tempered by caution,
