Communication Lord Halifax's Visit

Salamanca, Nov. 13 The first official statement by the Nationalist authorities on the exchange of agents with the Bri- tish Government. already an- nounced in the House of Com- mons, was made here to-day,

The statement says:

"Following the exchange of notes between the Government of Gen- eral Franco and the British Gov- ernment, it has been agreed to es- tablish relations between the two governments by appointing agents in London and in. Salamanca. res- pectively.

"A number of sub-agents at the most important harbours and in- land towns will be placed under these agents.

"These officials will enjoy the oficial privilege of protection. and сад maintain confidential communication among themselves without their official correspon- dence being censored,

"The Spanish Nationalist agent in London will have direct access the British Foreign Office, while the British agent in Sala- manca will likewise have direct contact with the bureau for for- eign relations.
