Governor is willing to satisfy your claims as you request on the distinct understanding that should objections be made by Mr. White or the Home Government on his behalf, the amount of $394 now allowed shall be refunded by you.

As directed in your letter No.995 of the 20th May last, I have received from Mr. C. Markwich the Government Auctioneer the sum of £202. 19.7, or $9741.16½ as per enclosed Account Sales, and have paid therefrom to Mr. Wm Scott: $394.50 in conformity with the contents of your Letter No.328 of 30th June last, and into the Commissariat Chest the Balance of $579.8¼ or £130. 15. 10½, for which I have the honour to hand you the Honorable W.
