Silver prices were lower yester day to the extent of 1/18 for Ready and 1/8 for Forward, the quotations being 19 9/16 and 19 1/2 respectively. Silver reported speculators
advices
sold. Bears covered. The market was quiet and a small business was done. After the official fixing the market was steady with prices possibly 1/16 higher due to Ameri- can buying. American Silver was quoted at 4 3/4 for Spot.
York The London-New rate was higher at 502.12. New York-London was quoted at 502.-
