unapt suggestion.

On the 18th June Col. Caine wrote

recommending the appointment of

wrote to us

proposing a plan for the creation (0387)

of interpreters

at all events - two subjects nearly connected

I do not know whether

Either concerned in the Major's dispatch. This

conflict of authorities has now ceased.

But in the meantime I do not know whether Mr. B.

concurs in this scheme. Under these

circumstances I think the best we can

do is to write
