Business continued very restrict- ed during the past week. A slight Increase in enquiry was sufficient to raise prices to some extent, and to attract a few sellers, whose of- ferings were duly absorbed but not of sufcient weight to sustain any improvement of consequence in the general level. In the latter part of the period under review buyers were inclined to hold for more attractive prices and demand remains unsatisfied.
Banks were in persistent en- quiry again. up to $1585.00, while the Union market shows renewed buyers ex. steadiness at $510.00
In London, Far Eastern quota- tions tended to improve.
