At Prosecutions
Unjustified interference with the freedom of the Press through the Official Secrets Act was condemned by the Council of the Institute of Journalists, and by the Central London branch of the National Union of Journalista recently. states the "Daily Telegraph."
At the annual conference of the Institute at Margate the Council drew attention to the prosecution und conviction at Stockport of a journalist charged under the Off- elvi Secrcts Act with refusing to disclose the source of certain local police Information supplied by him to a newspaper.

The bum of the planes was clearly audible in Shameen but all activity appeared to be taking place in the southeast, beyond Honan Point, much nearer home than the Whampoa raid this morning but not in the city itself.
