Japanese Brutality On The High Seas

Despite the fact that the Japan- se naval authorities have denied the reports to the effect that they had attacked ashing fleets along the South China Coast, news re- ceived in the Colony yesterday in- dicate that some Japanese war- ships actually attacked a fishing fleet off Cheelung Point on Monday evening.

The story of this further display of Japanese barbarism was told by passengers or the s.s. Kaying, who witnessed the machine-gunning of twa Chinese, junks by a Japanese destroyer.
