Policy Claim
Declaring that the claim could not have been fraudulent because if it were so, the junk could have been scuttled in deeper waters instead of at only four fathoms, in order to make it difficult for it. to be salvaged, the Hon. ·Mr. Léo" D'Almada e Castro, jnr., continued his submission in support of an action in- stituted against the Canton Insurance Office Limited (defen- dants) by the Hop Fat Firm (plaintiffs), claiming for $9,600 on an insurance policy for the value of 750 bags of manure and 150 bags of cement.
The junk foundered near Saw Chau Island on January 3. 1036 while en route to Macuo. The final arguments of the claim was heard in Supreme Court yesterday, before the Chief Justice. Sir Atholl MacGregor. The Case was adjourned for a reserved judgment by his Lordship.
