B. C-In-C. of the America and West Indies Station, is to visit United States ports before cun- luding her summer crutse at Ber- muda on September 23. She has Teft Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is due at Philadelphia from Septeth- ber13 to 20. Admiral Meyrick is at present in hospital and is ex- pected to resume the commana after the summer cruise. The other two cruisers at present on the station are in South American waters. H.M.S. Exeter, Commodore H. H. Harwood, O.B.E., is cruising off the West Coast, and H.M.b. Apolio. Captain M. J. C. de Meric. M.V.O., has left Para for a cruise up the Amazon River. The Apulio will spend one day each at San- tarem and Obidos, and the re- mainder of the time at Manaos. She is due at Trinidad on Septem- ber 22 and Bermuda on October 5. ACCOUNTANT STAFF CHANGE
Paymaster Captain L. C. E. Ayre, OB.E, is to take over the charge of accounts of Division I of R.N Barracks, Devonport, in place of Paymaster Captair. D. S. Lambert. O.B.E.. who has succeeded him as Assistant to the Paymaster
Director-General, Admiralty. Pay- master Captain Ayre was Secretary to Admiral Sir Arthur Walstelt in
his various commands and at the Admiralty from 1922 to 1934. He was assistant paymaster In H.M.S. Agincourt in” the Grand, Fleet during the first year of the War, and afterwards en the star of the Admiral Commanding Coast- guard and Reserves.

The Admiralty announces that the appointment of Rear-Adml. Reginald V. Holt to be Rear- Admiral and Senior Naval Officer, Yangtse, in succession to
Reur- Armi. Lewis O.E. Crabbe, to date Aug. 20. 1937, which was notified on July 13, has been postponed.
Rear-Admi. Crabbe has been at Shanghai since October, 1935. When Rear-Adm!. Holt's Yangtse appointment was announced. It was stated that he would arrive at Shanghat about Oct. 18,
and
assume command about Oct. 23. The Yangtse Flotilla includes 13 river "gunboats.
Rear Adml. Crabbe, who is 55, commanded the destroyers Hardy, Ophella and Vivien during the war. He was in the Ophella at Jutland.
Rear-Adml. Holt commanded torpedo craft throughout the war. He bas commanded the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla, has been Cap- tain-in-Charge at Bermuda and Chief of Staff at the Nore," and has commanded the cruiser Shrop shire in the Mediterranean.
