SPANISH BATTERY FIRE ON 'SUB"

London, Sept. 11, The Spanish Government re- purts, that a shore battery at Valencia fred on a submarine, which immediately submerged. Depth charges were then fred. and later all appeared on the water, indicating that the sub- marine had been hit.
