He has been succeeded by Rear- Admiral E C. O. Thomson, DSO.. who was promoted to flag rank 18 months ago while in command of the Home Fleet Destroyer Flotillas. Paymaster Commander C. E. CADETS TRAINING CRUISE The first cruise of the Vindictive. on relieving the Frobisher as cadets training cruiser, will be to the Adriatic and Eastern Mediter- ranean. Captain E. J. Spooner, D.S.O.. will transfer from the com- mand of the Frobisher to the Vindictive when the latter is ready at Portsmouth. She will leave Portsmouth on September 9. and Portland on September 13.
