NORTH CHINA SITUATION

Nanking, Aug. 6. Yesterday and to-day General Pei Chung-hai, Vice-Commander-in-Chief of the Fifth Route Army of Kwangal and Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek met to discuss and consider the situa tion in North China.
The meetings of these two famous leaders were most cordial and agres. able, particularly regarding plans in connection with the coming campaign for the expulsion of the Japaness in- vaders.
It is said that General Pei Chung hat expressed great confidence in the succese of China's war preparaticos. and China's future, the more since Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek was in enjoying of excellent health.
