Live," which has its run at the Alhambra Theatre to-day. The story sets forth the vallant bat- tle of a young doctor to compel political bosses to improve health conditions in a city. The roman- tic element of the screen drama develops when two lovely girls are attracted to the doctor.

The leading role is played bril- liantly by John Howard, who scored, earlier in "Lost Horizon." Nan Grey, remembered for the work in "Three Smart Giris," gives an appealing performance opposite Howard. The other girl who vies with Nan for the doctor's affection is Judith Barrett, seen as the niece of the political chief. The latter role is portrayed by Edward Ellis. A newcomer to the movies, Robert Wilcox, is pro- minently cast as Howard's... col- league.

Howard saves the life of a boy, Bennie Bartlett, whose plight spurs the doctor to clean up the city, in order to prevent epidemics. Ellis cares for the boy us his own and becomes affectionately attached to him.
