Freight And Asiatic Passenger Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN). During the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday, the freight returns, received from the Harbour Ofice, showed moderately high tonnage, movement, a good propertion being contributed "by British ships.

The total. tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 17,905 tons, with British stenssers carrying 10,451 tons. Through cargo for ports beyond the Colony amounted to 17,017 tons, of which 14,840 tons were carried by British steamers.

asiatic dock passengers entering the 'Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9: .. yesterday were 2,230, of which #11 were from British steamers.

There wern altogether 18 arrivals,

of which ten were of British registry.
