Miscellaneous. special cheer was reserved for young Prince Michael of Ru mania, who appeared in Scout uniform. He is staying at Eastnor Castle as the guest of Lord Bomers, the Deputy Chief Scout, and Lady Somers.
The
chief event of the day was the pyramid of welcome to the Chief Scout, designed to illustrate the growth of the Scout movement. At a signal the 8,000 young people, who had been hidden behind the hills. came into view and formed an Immense human pyramid. Move ing down the hillside in mass formation, a small camp repre- senting the beginning of the movement in 1907 was engulfed by the mass of 1937.
With all the entertaining points of its predecessor, and a number of new ones,, Dashiell Hammett's mystery story. "After the · Thin Man." is showing to-day at the King's Theatre, starring William Powell and Myrna Loy. This is a sequel to "The Thin Man" which Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios pro-was duced in response to public de mand.
The same director, W. S. Van Dyke, was responsible. Hunt Strumberg produced the film.
An excellent supporting cast Includes James Stewart, Elissa Landi. Joseph Callcla, Jessie Ralph and Asta, the intelligent wire- haired terrier which played a "clever part in "The Thin «Man.”
