BRITISH PROPOSALS TO PATCH BREACH
Hope Of Bringing Back Germany And Italy

Informed quarters here stated at noon to-day that negotia- tions for bringing back Germany and Italy to participation in the naval control of the Spanish coast are pursuing satisfactorily in their course, but that certain matters relating to the question of consultations in the event of aggression against foreign warships, still require elucidation since--so it is added-it is evident that the 'ships must defend themselves if attacked,
The French Government's written reply has not yet been handed in here but it is, stressed' that during the verbal negotia- tions which have been carried on 'so far no objections have been raised by France to the British proposals.
It would seem, however, as though the French Government is desirous of making certain addi- tional suggestions concerning the reorganisation of naval control.— Traumpen News Service.

Herr Adolf Hitler, Chancellor of Germany, to-day told Nazi follow ers that the nation awaited a lead from some other quarter before she would consider disarmament.
