Columbia Signs Douglass Montgomery
Douglass Montgomery, prominent leading man. was engaged by Columbia Pictures for one of the Important roles in
"Professional Juror." which will shortly be placed in production with Otto Kruger as the male lead.
Coming to pictures with a back- ground of many successful seasons on the stage. Mr. Montgomery's first important screen part was in "Pald." This was followed by leading, and feature roles in "Five and. Ten," "Waterloo Bridge." "A House Divided" and "Little Wo- men" Some of the later pictures in which he played the leads were, "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," "Lady. Tubbs." "Harmony Land and "Everything Is Thunder."
