While in India, Doctor O'Gwynn was the guest of the Maharajah of Patiala. Finding that many of the Maharajah's subjects suffered from cataract, he carried out, with the help of a native assistant, 182 operations in two days.

"There is more cataract trouble In India than anywhere else in the world." Dr. O'Gwynn' said. "And 'strangely enough, there is least in China. The cause is a mystery, so far, but it is believed to lie in die- tary deficiencies. And the Indian diet certainly is unbalanced."

Dr. O'Gwynn has left for Java. Before returning to United States, he will make an extensive tour of the Far East."
