There was a large attendance, the Grand Temple of the Masonic Peace Memorial Building being alled. The Duke of Connaught was proclaimed Grandmaster for the 37th year. The Earl of Hare wood was reappointed pro-Grand- master and Sir Francis J. Davies as deputy Grandmaster. -
Lord Harewood, referring to the Duke of Connaught's 87th birthday on May 1, said he presumed the lodge would wish him to send the Grand Master a message of con- gratulation and loyal good wishes on, that occasion. He subsequently read a message from the Grand Master with reference to the Es- pecial Grand Lodge to be held at He the Albert Hall on June 30. hoped that the King would be present on that occasion to be in- vested as Past Grand Master.

MANNING PORTS
In order to preserve, the man- ning balance" between "the three home ports, it has been decided that H.M.S. Milford, escort vessel on the Africa Station, and the Hebe and Sharpshooter, new minesweepers building at Devon- port Dockyard, are to be trans- ferred from Portsmouth to De- vonport for manning. The Mil- ford is due to recommission in November next.
