YESTERDAY'S
OFFICIAL QUOTATIONS
Quiet market have continued to prevail during the week under re- view, and rates are fractionally easier as a consequence, but on the other hand there has been aj steady maintenance of interest, even though on a small scale, as is usual in these circumstances, this interest has been mainly directed towards the investment section.
Public Utilities have been a fair- ly ready market, throughout, Lands have been steady at $35). Wharves have been persis- and tently la enquiry, up to $120, at which price there is still an un- satisfied demand.
Sterling stocks have maintained their prices, and are likewise ready markets. Cements and Ho- tels have been dull 'on' prospects of
and Settlement quidation, changed hands at $15) and $7.20 respectively but have not been offered in quantity.
The Manila market has for thé most part lacked interest, and rates have been inclined to sag, though the general level of prices has not suffered to any extent.
