TRIUMPHAL ARCHES ERECTED

According to information obtained from different sources, 1 it gathered that the Chinese processions during the Coronation next week will be the biggest and grandest that has ever taken place in the Colony, surpassing in beauty and gorgeousness any- thing of this nature that has been seen in Hong Kong, and in deed the Far East.

the foreno02 place during afternoon of May 12, 13 and 14 and will pass the "Government House at 2.30 p.m. on May 12.

MONSTER DRAGONS During the Chinese procession. there will be altogether five mons- ter gold, silver, enamelled and gauze dragons besides a gigantle centipede.

On May 13 and 14 there will be a night procession with Mumin- ated fish, etc., lanterns, and two monster gauze and gold "dragons, and the procession will pass Gov- ernment House at 9 p.m. on the first night

Never the history of Hong Kong has there been such a display of monster dragons. Each dragon is about 300 feet long, and will be carried along and manipulated by

Macao Race Meeting

The May Meeting of the Macao Jockey Club will be held to-mor- row when the programme of six events will include a Machine Gun Troop Race. The entries are not on the large side but in most of the events a medium sized field should go to the post.

The s.s. "Kinshan" will be on the run to the Portuguese Colony: leaving Hong Kong at 9.30 a.m. and sailing from Macao on her return trip at 6 p.m. Prospects of good weather conditions should be an inducement to Hong Kong residents to make the trip and the attendance should be well above the average.

MACHINE GUN TROOP RACE This is an unofficial race at catchweights (175 lbs.) over seven furlongs. Several old and well tried racers will be saddled but I feel that none of them will fur- nish King'a Parade with much opposition. This chestnut belong- ing to Mr. Browning has been do- ing regular work at the Valley of late and judging by what I have séen should have no difficulty, in winning. Racing Strain is also in good condition and will probably finish second with Mouche about the next best bet for third place. SABOTAGE

ALLEGATION

Graz, May 4.

The sensational allegation that the Hindenburg disaster may have been caused by sabotage was made by Dz Hugo Eckener 'who arrived here last night.

He told Reuter: "It is very likely that the disaster was due to an act of sabotage. I repeatedly received anonymous "threa- tening letters specially warning me not to land the Hindenburg at Lakehurst. It is quite Impossible that the explosion was due to lightning as the airship was equipped with the must modern preventive apparatus."

Dr. Eckener has broken off his lecture tour in Austria and left for Berlin this morning.

New York: Count von Zeppelin, nephew of the German in- ventor, who is on a business trip in the United States, expressed the conjecture at an interview in Chicago that anti-Nazi sabo- tage may be behind the Hindenburg explosion-Reuter.
