Revival Of Earlier Attempt
Though Chinese press reports from Nanking on April 14 said that the Executive Yuan, at the request of the Ministry of Industry and the Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission, had issued instructions to the authorities in Charhar, Sulyuan, Ninghsla. Kansu, Bhensi, Hopel, Shantung and Honan, and the Bureaux of Inspection and Testing of Commercial Commodi- ties at Tientsin and Tsingtao to bax the production and exporta- tion of motre skins, no official noti- fication to this effect has been ro- celyed in Tientsin.

Italy is making a vigorous effort to establish her independence from the rest of the world for her sup- plies of petroleum. A
An oll refinery plant, one of the largest yet erected in Europe, was cecently inaugurated at Trieste, in northern Italy. It was constructed for the Aquila Tecnico Industriale |Company, a government licensed refining concern at Trieste. It has a capacity of 6000 barrels of crude daily and is intended to supply „fuel and Diesel engine oil to several Italian shipping lines through its wharving system.
