Interest in the local market re- vived during the week under re- view, in the latter part of which trading steadily increased as prices advanced. The close is quiet, a re- flection of attention demanded by the sensational movements of the Manila market, but prices general- ly are well maintained; Docka at $32. Cements at $151, Electrics at $61 rulè higher than previously quoted
In the Sterling section, Banks were unchanged at $1860, but Unions at $825 had recovered part of the final dividend paid a week
ago.
The Manila market recovered substantially, under the leadership of the Marsman, group, record turnovers being reported daily at rapidly advancing prices. The re- covery was maintained right up till to-day's close which was re- ported as steady.
