The Air Ministry has announced the appointment of Air" Commo- dore Charles Willam Nutting. O.B.E., D.S.C.,
Director of to De Signāls, Air. Ministry, on April 1, 1937, vice Air Commodore James Bevan Bowen, C.B.E.
Alr Commodore Nutting was commissioned in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in 1915. During the War he served in France and was awarded the D.S.C. while at- tached to a Wing of the Royal Naval Air Service. He was appoint- ed a major in the Royal Air Force on April 1, 1918, and iri August of The following year he was granted a permanent commission in the Royal Air Force with the rank of Squadron Leader. Between 1919 and 1924 he served in Egypt, -In- dia, and Iraq, and later was em- ployed on Air Staff duties in the Signals. Branch at the Air Minis- ry before commanding the Royal Air Force Station at Hal Far, in the Mediterranean. On return" to the United Kingdom in 1931 he be- came an Air Staff Signals Officer until appointed to the command of No. 3 Flying Training School in December, 1932. He was promoted to Wing Commander in 1926, to Group Captain in 1933. and to his present rank in January. 1937,
WAR ORGANIZATION Squadron Leader S. M. Park is appointed, in the list published to- day to the Alp. Ministry for duty in the Deputy Directorate of War Organization. This is not a new branch in the Department of the Air Member for Supply and Or ganization, but has hitherto not been shown separately in the Air Force List Squadron Leader Park comes from the command of No. 38 (Bomber) Squadron at Milden- hall. He has had over 20 years' service in the RF.C. and R.AF.. and is a flying instructor and en- gineer specialist. While "serving with No. 84 Squadron in France he was taken prisoner in October, 1917, and spent the last year of the War in captivity. He has since zerved in Palestine, Egypt, and Aden.

WERE DISCUSSED AT A MEETING OF THE FOREIGN MINIS- TERS OF THE LITTLE ENTENTE.

The widening of the military clauses of the Little Entente agree- ment is another important subject under discussion.
