Hong Kong, March 9. Silver prices rose 1/18 yesterday for both deliveries, the quotations being 20 1/4 for Ready and 20 1/16 for Forward. Silver advices re- ported some speculative buying. The market closed steady! Sellers were rather reserved. After the official fixing the market was quiet and featureless. American Silver was quoted at 44 3/4 for Spot.
The London-New York cross- rate was
quoted at 4.89. New York-London was quoted at 4.89 1/32.
