Only four frat division teams will be engaged in the cricket pro- gramme, a friendly one, this after noon, but all the same some ex- ceedingly good finishes should be seem. There are three junior matches.
Cralgengower Cricket Club meet the Civil Service on the latter's ground and on form the visitors should win but the Civil Service are a team that may extend even the strongest side so that a draw will not come as a surprise. Their | wicketkeeper-batsman. W. H. Col- ledge has been completely out of form for the past two months. I rather think this was due to staleness but I hear that he is batting much better at the nets now and he will perhaps get a few runs tu-day.
in the Kowloon-Club match, which will in all probability end In a win for the former. I expect Donald Anderson to make a lot of runs as he is in his best form with the bat now, having made two centuries in consecutive Saturdays Just recently. The Club will be without T.E. Pearce and F. T. Marshall who will be engaged at the Races but they should still be able to put up a good game.
To-morrow the indiana engage the Seaforths in a friendly at 800- kunpoo. They are playing a re- organked team and if things turn out as expected the same side will probably be chosen for their all- Important League match against the Club on March 6.
match will, without a doubt, be the encounter between the Belforth Highlanders and the Ulster Rifles.. The Seaforthis
are still now to local football enthusiasts but, from their showing on Hong Kong fields, there is no reason why they should not share the points with the Rifles.

SWIMMING
Trophy For Channel Swim
Haydn Taylor, the Cleethorpes dentist, is hoping to have another try at the Channel swim next
summer.
He did the Grisneż to Dover swim in 1935, taking 14hr. 48min. and planned to do the raverse awin last year, but the weather was beastly.
“It is terribly discouraging wait- Ing at Dover day after day for favourable conditions and never getting them," he says. "I am still keeping fit in the hope that the coming summer will be a little less Like December."
PEAK SCHOOL SPORTS
Enjoyable Function
The Chief Justice and Lady Mac- present at the Peak School sports Oregor were the among the many held in the grounds of "Tander- age". yesterday afternoon. Atholl and Lady "MacGregor very kindly loaned the grounds of theli residence to the Peak School for the afternoon...
Lady MacGregor distributed the of the prizes at the conclusion meeting.
Three hearty cheers were given for Lady MacGregor who was also the recipient of a souvent gift from the children of the Peat" School -
Although a good many have awun the Channel since Capt. Webb's ploneer efforts 28 years ago,
After the distribution of prizes, there is still great interest in every Mr. J. Falston, Inspector of En- Ore or attempt made. Taylor thinks it ligh Schools, speaking on behal! would be a good idea if someone of the parents and the Board of put up 3 Channel swimuning | Education, thanked the staff for trophy, to be held by the compett a most successful afternoon and tor making the best crossing.. also Sir Atholl and Lady Mac- Gregor for their kindness in plac ing their grounds at the disposal of the School.
The Club and Navy game should provide bustling entertainment, with the latter having A slight edge on their opponents. two ships have recently returned to Hong Kong waters and this should strengthen their team when the sailors take the field to-day. While the Club are making a re- turn to their original standard, I still favour the Navy with their bustling type of play and, if they keep the ball under control when inside the penalty area, they should be rewarded by snatching the polits from the clyillant,
Although the Club de Recreio have shown a surprising strength recently, I should rather think that the Eastero will give them
keep their opponents from getting in close enough to put the finishi ing touches to their movements.

Congratulations to the CB.A Ladies on attaining their first win in the Brawn Cup League. On Saturday last they conquered the R.W.F. Ladles. by one goal to all, the goal being netted by Miss E. Woolley in the second half. The game throughout was a middeld struggle and the custodians had the day off. The victory on the whole came 28. a most pleasant surprise considering the Central
British Association team have suffered many heavy defents, in previous matches. But they have atuck to their guns and Saturday's Tesult bore the fruits of determina- tion. In Miss Betty Parsons, the OB.A. have a deünite and in the aefence ranks. She possessen a strong hit and is very, steddy.
THEY NEARLY LOST The Central British School giris "A" team, who have carried all be- fore them and are within a stone's throw of being the winners of the Brawn Cup, did not do well at all at King's Park last Saturday where they only just managed to match two points from the YMCA Ladles by the only goal of the match scored by their centre-for- ward, Miss Dorothy McCaw. Since her departure for Hoine, the absence of Miss Andre Martin. their most prolife goal scorer, has been keenly felt by the school girls side. On Saturday they were dis- Jointed in attack and but for a steady defence might have suffer- ed their first defeat of the seRBơn
AN EXPERIMENT
On Sunday: the CBA. men enjoyed an easy 7-0 victory over the 4th Battery, of the HKSRA on the Marina ground. In this match the C.B.A, put their defence in the attack and vice veras: George Fowler, who is their regular centre-forward, played na pivot while Victor Bond, left wing, play- ed back. 8. MacNider and T Whitley returned to the attack and each scored a goal Practice such ag this does a team the world of good,

An excellent game should be witnessed when St. Joseph's meet South Chim "B" to-morrow. These two teams should be evenly match ed and, although St. Joseph's have been sadly depleted by the sus- pension of four of their players, the game will perhaps end in a
draw.
The Saints have been able to recruit new players in the va cancies which occurred and the newcomers have given good at counts of themselves in their last game.
Seven-A-Side Rugby
The annual Seven-a-side Rugby Tournament organised by the Hong Kong Football Club in aid of Civilian Navy and Army charities ably impressed sports writem with ¦ will be held next week Its play and they have given their best in every match.
