Centre Court (Mr. W. H. 8. Davis) took the lead from the start, follow- ed by Able Amazon (Mr. D. 8.Li) and Vixen Tor (Mr. L. P. Halch), the favourite being the rext in order. The same position's obtained till the Rock when Electron, began moring up and at the Village Bund It went up to the third place. Centre Court still leading with Able Amazon second. Coming into the home stretch, however, Electron Amazon and passed both Able Centre Court, while Mr. Ll's mount finished strongly to take second place.

The race, over a distance of mile, was featured by the "elose formation" of the field until the Custodian's Shed was reached. Up till then The Hero (Mr. L 'G. Frost) was well in front but after that he faded right out of the picture. Mr. D. 8. L kept Tiny Star back until the Distance Post when he gave Tiny Star its head and the pony had to give of its best to catch up on Rose Evelyn. do this in and Just managed to the last fifty yards.

THE CONSOLATION STAKES Mr. F. (Peanut) Marshall rode a magnificent race on Gladiator to win The Consolation Stakes from Honeymoon Eve (Mr. V. V. Needa) with Soldier of Britain (Mr. H. C Pihling the third position.
