LADY DRIVER SUMMONED

Mr. AW. Hodges appeared at the Central Magistracy yesterday in place of his wife, who was sum- moned for obstructing trame on Chater Road on January 29.

Mr. Hodges said that a week previously his wife had parked in

the same place because of the lack of parking space. Apparently, she was informed by a Chinese police sergeant that she could park at the spot.

His Worship only cautioned de- fendant.

INTERIM DIVIDEND

In intimated at our last meeting that an interim dividend might be paid during the year, at the half year your Directors decided to dis- tribute $2 per share in this man- ner, absorbing $160,000. After al- lowing for this payment and bring- ing in the $18,321.45 brought for- ward from 1935, there is a balance

It 1 of $256,828 for distribution. now proposed to pay a final divid- end of $3 per share, which will absorb $240,000, and carry forward $16,828.

For the year 1935 we were en- abled to pay a dividend of $5.50 per share which was fifty cents more than it is now proposed to distribute, by utilising the balance in the Equalisation of Dividend Fund Account. This account is

now closed and we have the ba lance of the year's revenue only for appropriation.

The ferry service continues to run smoothly, and except to add my annual reminder to share- holders that our pler leases expire in 1949, there does not appear to be anything further that calls for comment. I therefore, propose that the report and accounts 8.3 presented be adopted and passed.

OTHER BUSINESS

The adoption of the report was seconded by the Hon. Mr. S. H. Dodwell and carried unanimously.

The Hon. Mr. J. J. Paterson and Hon. Mr. S. H. Dodwell were re- elected Directors on the proposal of Mr. J. H. R. Hance, seconded by Mr. J. Ormiston.

Strengthen your body against

Feverish Diseases

The chance of catching malaria and other fever- ish diseases is far greater, if the power of resist- ance is lowered. Lack of minerals in the body- usually causes this lowering. Tiredness, heart troubles, uritability and dizziness are signs that your power of resistance is below par. Prevent serious trouble by taking Kalzana tablets regularly. Kalzana replenishes the mineral content of the body and blood cells in a perfectly natural way, strengthens the whole system, and so prevents serious infectious diseases, such as malaria, skin rashes, etc. A grateful Kalzana user, Mr. E. B., writes:
