AN HONEST CRITIC After one or two other speakers added their expression of regret at the departure of the resident chaplain, the Rev. Tribbeck said:- It is very happy that the Gen- eral Officer commanding the troops should have been able to sym- bolize approval of our work here by his presence. From my con- versations with the General I have learnt that he has a high concern for the men and their families I am also under his commanc.

Her gracious willingness to be present on this occasion I take as a very grent kindness on her part, as a tribute to my office that is more than can be deserved by me, and as a symbol of a noble tradition of ser- vice maintained by ladies in her station.

The programme of the "Services" meeting this year has been en- larged, and will now include a Machine-Oun competition, as well as an aggregate event which will be in the nature of a "Services" Unit Championship, which will in- clude rifle, lewis-gun, machine-gun '
