In connection with the forth- Coming Ladies' Interport hockey tentative arrangements are that the Shanghai team will all for Hong Kong on February 9, arriving Here on Chinese New Year's day, and return about. February 19, ac- cording to the "North China Daily Now" The Shanghai team will be definitely announced within the next two weeks.
During their stay in the Colony, the Shanghai team will probably play three matches. There will be the official Interport encounter, followed by matches against the Rest of the Colony and the cham- plons of the Car Clark Cup Lea- Bue
LAST YEAR'S GAME
Last year, the interport was play- ed in Shanghai, the intensely close match being won by Hong Kong by 1-0. Anxious to make amenda for that defeat the Shanghai Ladies Hockey Association is selecting their representatives this year with considerable care. Trial matches are being played at the Race Course every Sunday afternoon and Interport possibilities are be- ing closely watched With so many capable players from whom to select, the task is not an easy one, but on the basis of league perfarm- ances it seems likely that the play- ers, who will predominate, will be recruited largely from the Shang-- hai American School "A" last year's champions, the Sports Girls, and the German "A."
"In view of the deterioration of the general international situation this is obviously not a moment at which any Power would wish to scrap serviceable vessels."--Bir Samuel Hoare.
