Speculators sold to a small extent. The market closed steady and after the official Axing India bought and there were also some general inquiry but sellers were rather reserved American Silver was quoted at 45 for Spot.
The London-New York cross- rate was quoted at 4.91 5/8. New York-London was quoted at 491
