INTER-COLONIAL RIFLE SHOOTING MATCH
Hong Kong Fires On In Dismal Weather
DOCKYARD MEMBERS IMPROVE
The annual Inter-Colonial Rifle Match, held under the auspices of the National Rifle Association at Home, and for which event it 15 understood that twenty-five colonies entered in 1936, was shot for by Hong Kong on Thursday afternoon last.
The event was held on the Army ranges at Kowloon City, under the most dismal and depressing con- ditions which could be imagined. A bitterly cold wind blowing, at times, at gale force, and right in the faces of the members of the team on the fring point, coupled with a heavy downpour of rain, made it evident from the start that the team would find themselves heavily handicapped by circum- stances beyond their control, and the way in which they so gamely fought on, refusing to be dismayed or downhearted, aroused the ad- miration, of those who were out on the ranges on that particular after-
noon.
The thanks of the Association are Indeed due to those whose names
courtesy of the Naval authorities, on the range at Stonecutters when between forty and fifty members attended.
