The offices which are to accom- modate the drst Commercial Counsellor to the Italian Embassy In China, situated in the Yangtze Insurance Building, 26 The Bund, were opened in the presence of a distinguished gathering Jast" week by His Excellency Vincenzo ( Lo- Jacoño, Italian Ambassador. The offices of the Italian Chamber if Commerce, were previously at 278 Klangse Road. The Commercial Counsellor, Comm. Dr. Romolo An- gelone, arrived in Shanghat about a month ago`to take up his post here. The new offices, which are spacious ana comfortable," will be Coun- used, by the Commercial sellor, his secretary Slamor" P. Potaturo, and a staff of three, and Italian the local branch of the Government Tourist Bureau will also carry on its business in these quarters.
The Italian Ambassador's speech. which was made in Italian, was afterwards translated into English for the benefit of the guests of many different nationalities. who were present at the ceremony.
