"MUMMY'S BOYS"
Murder, mystery, and merriment among the ancient tombs of Egypt are in store for Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey's legion of fans when the popular team of comics appear to-day at, the Queen's.. Theatre in "Mummy's Boys."
The crazy comics' nineteenth feature together, this RKO Radio alm recalls the famous "curse of King Tut" so widely head-lined in connection with strange deaths that struck many members of the expedition that opened his tomb.
A fusty satire on the "terror type" of mystery chiller, it takes the boys from ditch digging in New York to shovelling in the valley of the Kings, graveyard of Egypt's Pharaohs, in the face of a similar course. The fact that a friend is employing the supernatural threat of death as a blind for his dirty work spices the hilarity with thrills and leads to a high-tension climax when the boys and their new lead- ing lady, Barbara Pepper, are trapped in a spooky underground crypt with the murderer.
Miss Pepper, who romances op- posite Wheeler, is a lively young blonde beauty who got her start by belag "glorified" by the late Florenz Ziegfeld. In the Wheeler and Woolsey tradition of plentitude of pulchritude, ten attractive
young ladies romance with Wool- sty.
With Moroni Olsen, Frank M. Thomas, Willie Best, Mitchell Lewis and Francis McDonald, topping the cast, "Mummy's Boys" was directed by Fred Guiol
Lee Marcus, who supervised "The Nit Wits" and "Love On a Bet" as well as the above men- tfoned comedies, produced. The screen play was penned by Jack Townley, Philip G. Epstein and Charles Roberts from an original story by Townley and Lew Lipton.

Taken from the widely-read Cos- mopolitan Magazine story "Count Pete" by Francis C. Cockrell, this latest Raymond-Sothern feature is parallel to their recent "Hooray for Love" only in that, although not a musical it is spiced with hit music and gives them plenty of oppor- tunity to sing while romping through unusual heart tangles The melodies by Bert Kalmar, Harry Ruby, and Sid Silvers in-
clude "Cabin On the Hilltop." "My Heart Wants to Dance" and "Lot'a Make & Wish."
The story draws sophisticated humor and good-natured horse- play out of an adventurous young college graduate's madcap solution of the unemployment problem. The hilarity starts when Raymond hires himself out to Miss Sothern, a wii-· ful and uncontrollable Beverly Hills heiress, to help her overcome her father's objections to a fortune- hunter with whom she fancies her- self in love. The complications set in when Raymond falls in love with his employer after doing much too well at his job, which is to pose as an insufferably arrogant for- eign nobleman and to insult her father and aunt so thoroughly that they will consider the favoured suitor a rare catch by comparison.
