In the Diocesan Commission Examination 47 boys sat for the test and 47 passed with an average of nearly 60 per cent. We look upon the moral training of the students as the most important thing in the College. Unless boys
are
morally strong intellectual development does not count for much. The course given in the College has for its object the turning out of good and honour- able citizens, whose conduct is based on solid principles. With us that comes frst.
PAST STUDENTS
Our Past Students' Association is a flourishing institution and forms a strong link between the College und those who have passed from its Halls. I wish here to appeal to the Association to testify in a practical way to their loyalty to their Alma Mater by letting us know if they themselves have vacancies which might be filled or if they know of vacancies. We shall be careful not to recommend boys unless we are convinced that they are really worth while. This year we have been very fortunate in the placing of our boys, but next year with the passing out of so many the question will become a practical and urgent one..
I wish before I close to thank very sincerely the Assistant Tea- chers of the College for the con- scientious and generous work which they have done for the boys during the year and I must con- gratulate-myself on having as my helpers such a devoted body of men.
I wish to thank Mr. Id for hoo- ouring us this morning. Mr. LA 18 a very busy man, and we thank him for giving us so much of his valuable time the bare based
