Chan Kat, 28. unemployed, of no axed abode, was brought before Central Mr. W. Schofield at the Magistracy yesterday for the far-' ceny of sampan No. 5004A from the praya off Main Street on December 2. The complainant was Mak Ki a native craft hawker.
Inspector Headridge said that at 2.30 p.m. on December 20 a detec- tive was on duty around the vici- nity when he saw the defendant
Mr. H. W. Fraser, of the A. C. A., said that complainant came to Hong Kong from the country a few days ago with defendant. She ran away from defendant on December 19, and reported to the Mongkokrowing a sampan.
