Leung Ki, 20, frült stall foki of Tein-sha-tsui market was brought before Mr. E. Himsworth at the Kowloon Magistracy on Baturday, for stealing 8. pounds of butter trom the Feninsula Hotel.

Detective Sergeant Hutchinson said that defendant was told to deliver fruits to the Hotel daily. At 11 a.m. defendant was searched by the Indian watchman after he he had delivered the fruit, and found four pounds of butter in the basket.

He was then taken to the Water Police Station where he was sear- ched again, and another 2 lbs were found on his person.

Defendant confessed that he had been doing this constantly when he delivered the fruit in the morning.
