(BY" LONGSHOREMAN), The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours, ended at 9.00 am yesterday, showed a considerably high tonnage movement, a large proportion of which being made D'Artagnan, French steamer, 0,309- up by British ships.
The total tonnage of general cargo curried by vessels to the Colony was 29,128 tons, with British steamers carrying 18,950
tans.
Through cargo for ports be- yond the Colony amounted to $7,927 tons of which 8,186 tons were carried by British steamers.
Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 am, yesterday were 1,839, of which" 509- were from British steamers.
There were altogether twenty- seven arrivals, of which 10 were of of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the 29 departures, alght were British ships, the rest being of other different countries. culars as follows:- Nationality Ships
