The Province of Kwangtung Is an important source of supply, and the quantity exported to foreign countries is considerable,
Formerly, the price was $15 per picul, but it has now jumped to $100 per pleul, owing to the de- mand for this mineral in foreign countries.
On account of the importance of this mineral, the Kwangtung Goy- ernment has created a special de- partment to control its sale and export.
