Freight And Asiatie Passengers Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN). The freight returns, received from the Harbour Oice during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yes- terday, showed a moderate ton- nage movement.

The total tonnage or

general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 3,324 tons, with British steamers carrying 1,129 tons.

Through cargo for ports beyond the Colony amounted to 33,789 tons. of

which 8,088 tons were carried by British steamers.

Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday were 701, of which 516 were from British steamers.

There were altogether eleven arrivals, of which five were of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the eleven departures, four were British ships, the rest being of other different countries. Par- ticulars as follows:
