There was a very smart turnout in the sonyound at, Poliés Headquarters yesterday afternoon, when His Excellency tha Governor, Str Andrew: Caldecott, inspected the Hong Kong Police Force who paraded under the Inspector General of Police (Hon. N, T, H. Th
His Excellency prestated medals and · commendations awarded to officers during 1935. There were no less than five recipients of the Colonial Police Medal for long service, and a bravery award was also made. Several District Watch Force medals were presented while four European omcers and seaman received commendations.
A Guard of Honour was provid- ed, under Mr. LLC. Calthrop, Superintendent of Police (Hong Kops), and comprised the same men as formed the Guard of, Honour on the occasion of the recent departure of the Cabtop Government officials.
On arrival at 4 p.m., Els Ex cellency, who was accompanied by Capt. WJR. CYRgɣ, A.D.C.. was accorded the Royal Salute.
Following this, Bir Andrew, ac- companied by the Daspector General inspected the Guard of Bonour after which he proceeded to the centre of the compound for the presentation of medals and commendations.
Inspector Andrew who was decorated, with the Colonial Police Medal yesterdaý. He has been connected with the Force since 1913.
