Projecting Lenses Stolen:
Mr. Victor Hugo, the manager of the Oriental Theatre and a mem- ber of the Board of Censors, has reported to the authorities the theft of two projecting lenses and a fountain pen from his premises at Kayamally Building, fourth Goor, between. 4.30 and 8.30 p.m., on Saturday.
The stolen articles are valued at $83, and it is thought that the thief entered through an open window at the rear of the operat; Ing theatre

Lo Yan, an inspector of the Opium Suppression Bureau Swatow was the victim of a pick pocket yesterday when his leather wallet containing one $5 Hong Kong note, and some small cur- rency in watow coins was lost. The total value, with the purse. was $7.65.
The culprit, alleged to be Lau Cheung Lam, 23, unemployed, of 142, Sal Yuen Chol Street. Arst floor, was caught after a short chase, and in the ensuing tusale, only the wallet was recovered. The money had been lost during the pursuit.
