Big Fields: Keen Sport

BY "LAST QUARTER"

A programme consisting entirely of handicap events will be presented to the public at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Ninth Extra Bace Meeting this afternoon. The ti bit of the day will undoubtedly be the Kwangtung Handicap," the last race on the card, for "D" Class China Posies, which has attracted 10 en- tries. The special $1 sweep will be drawn for on this race and the field will in all probability be the largest of the meeting. The sale of tickets to date exceeds 59,000 and there is every possibility of over 62,000 tickets being sold, which would bring the first prize to approximately $27,000.00.
