Case Of Abyssinia Recalled

The speech on defence policy delivered by King Leopold, to his Cabinet on Wednesday is still under consideration in London Elucidation of certain points was requested by the British Foreign Minister in an interview with the Belgian Ambassador on- Friday night and during the week-end the Ambassador has been in com- munication with Brussels on some of the matters upon which further explanations were sought. A detalled description of revolting cruelties indicted on the Bishops of Almeria and Guadix before their assassination by two Reds now re- ceived here states that the Bishop of Guadix, before being taken ashore from the prisoners' ship for execution, was forced to scrub the deck of the ship by the Red guards who maltreated the ecclesiastical dignitary and Jeeringly asked him to blaspheme God.
