During the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday, the freight raturna, received from the Har- bour Office, showed a moderate tonnage movement.
The total, tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the ∙Colony was 4,048 tons, with British
steamers carrying 430 tons.
Through cargo for ports be- yond the Colony amounted to 18,920 tons, of which 4,187... tons were carried by British steamers.
Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 a.m. yesterday were 164, of which only five were from British steamers.
There were altogether eight arrivals, of which three were of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the eleven departurea, two were British ships. the rest being "of other different countries. Particu- lars as follows:— Nationality British

"The natural pantomime of the deaf-mute is the great universai language by which, with the de velopment of television, it would be possible for one man to speak to the world."
Sir Richard Faget expressed this view in a paper read on his behalf to the Anthropology Section at the British Association at Blackpool recently.
